Rajasthan Weather Today: Heavy Rain and Thunderstorm Alert Issued for Several Districts

The monsoon continues to remain active across Rajasthan, with several parts of the state expected to experience rain and thunderstorms. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather alerts for multiple districts, warning residents about the possibility of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. Jaipur and several other areas may also witness changing weather conditions during the day.

According to the latest weather forecast, districts including Baran, Bundi, Dausa and Sirohi are among the areas being closely watched for rainfall activity. The weather system is expected to bring intermittent showers in different parts of the state, while thunderstorms and lightning may accompany rainfall in some locations. Residents have been advised to remain cautious, particularly during periods of strong winds and lightning.

Jaipur is also likely to experience the impact of the active monsoon conditions. The state capital has witnessed fluctuating weather during the monsoon season, with periods of sunshine followed by sudden cloud cover and rain. The possibility of thunderstorms means that residents should be prepared for short-duration but intense spells of weather in some areas.

The IMD’s alerts are particularly important for districts where heavy rainfall is forecast. Rainfall in a short period can lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas, temporary disruption to traffic and reduced visibility on roads. People travelling during thunderstorms are therefore advised to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary movement during periods of intense rain and lightning.

Rajasthan has experienced several rounds of monsoon rainfall this season, with weather conditions varying significantly between districts. The distribution of rainfall is influenced by the position of the monsoon trough and other atmospheric systems, which can result in heavy showers in some areas while neighbouring districts receive comparatively lighter rainfall.

The latest forecast suggests that residents should continue monitoring official weather updates as conditions can change quickly during the monsoon. Those living in areas under weather alerts should take precautions during thunderstorms, especially by avoiding open spaces and staying away from trees, electric poles and other exposed structures during lightning activity.

With monsoon activity continuing across the state, Rajasthan is likely to remain under the influence of unsettled weather conditions in the coming days. Residents of Jaipur and the districts under alert should keep an eye on updates from the Meteorological Department and follow local advisories in case rainfall or thunderstorm activity intensifies.
