The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift has arrived in India with a major update to its powertrain, new technology and a more premium feature list. The latest Baleno is now available in five variants, including the new top-spec Alpha (O), and its official ex-showroom price ranges from ₹5.99 lakh to ₹9.99 lakh.
While the introductory price announced at launch was ₹6.10 lakh, Maruti Suzuki’s latest official pricing puts the entry-level Sigma variant at ₹5.99 lakh. The new Baleno is available with petrol and CNG powertrains, along with manual and AMT gearbox options depending on the variant.
However, the amount a buyer actually pays is considerably higher than the ex-showroom figure. Once road tax, registration, insurance and other applicable charges are added, the on-road price varies significantly from one Indian city to another.
According to the latest Autocar India price data, the 2026 Maruti Baleno’s estimated on-road price starts at around ₹6.81 lakh in Delhi and can go beyond ₹11 lakh for higher variants in cities such as Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. The exact amount depends on the variant, fuel type, transmission, registration category and insurance selected by the buyer.
In Delhi, the Baleno’s estimated on-road range is around ₹6.81 lakh to ₹10.69 lakh. In Mumbai, the range is approximately ₹7.05 lakh to ₹11.07 lakh. Hyderabad buyers can expect roughly ₹7.23 lakh to ₹11.36 lakh, while Chennai prices are around ₹7.17 lakh to ₹11.26 lakh. Kolkata sits at approximately ₹6.99 lakh to ₹10.98 lakh.
These figures are estimates rather than fixed nationwide prices because registration charges, road tax and insurance vary between states and cities. Buyers should therefore check the final quotation from their Maruti Suzuki NEXA dealership before making a purchase.
The 2026 Baleno is offered in five trims: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha and Alpha (O). The Alpha (O) is the new flagship variant and is particularly important because it introduces Level 2 ADAS to the Baleno. It also gets features such as ventilated front seats, making it considerably more feature-rich than the lower variants.

The Alpha petrol-manual costs ₹9.10 lakh and the Alpha AMT is ₹9.60 lakh. At the top of the range, the Alpha (O) costs ₹9.50 lakh with the manual gearbox and ₹9.99 lakh with the AMT.
The automatic versions carry a ₹50,000 premium over their corresponding petrol-manual variants. The CNG versions of the Delta and Zeta are positioned at a substantially higher price than their equivalent petrol-manual versions.
One of the biggest mechanical changes for 2026 is under the bonnet.
Maruti Suzuki has replaced the previous 1.2-litre four-cylinder K12N petrol engine with its newer 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine. This is the same engine family used in models such as the Swift and Dzire.

For example, Autocar India’s Bhopal pricing data shows an estimated ₹6.87 lakh on-road price for the Sigma petrol-manual. Its ₹6.09 lakh ex-showroom figure in that calculation is supplemented by approximately ₹48,792 in registration-related charges, ₹27,446 for insurance and other charges.
This illustrates why simply adding a fixed percentage to the ex-showroom price does not always produce an accurate on-road figure.
A buyer in Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai or another city can face a different final price for exactly the same Baleno variant because of differences in road tax, registration charges and insurance.
