Rajasthan Weather Update: Rain Alert for 10 Districts, Jaipur May See Showers From August 20 to 23

The weather pattern in Rajasthan is set to change from August 20, with the Meteorological Department forecasting rain in several parts of the state. Jaipur is among the districts expected to see a change in weather conditions, while light to moderate rainfall is likely across parts of eastern Rajasthan.

According to the latest forecast, rain activity is expected to continue between August 20 and 23, particularly across the Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions. The rainfall is likely to remain light to moderate in many areas, although isolated spells could be stronger.

Jaipur had relatively clear weather on August 19, with the maximum temperature reaching around 33.7 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was recorded at approximately 25.6 degrees Celsius. No significant rainfall was reported in the city on Tuesday, but weather conditions are expected to become more favourable for showers from Wednesday.

The forecast indicates that eastern Rajasthan will receive comparatively more monsoon activity during this period. Parts of the Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions may experience rain, while monsoon activity in other areas of eastern Rajasthan is expected to remain relatively weak.

The change is being attributed to prevailing monsoon weather systems and atmospheric conditions affecting Rajasthan. Recent forecasts have indicated that rainfall activity, which had weakened temporarily in some parts of the state, could increase again in eastern areas from August 20.

For Jaipur residents, the forecast means that cloudy conditions and intermittent showers could return after the relatively bright weather experienced earlier in the week. People travelling within the city should remain prepared for sudden changes in weather, particularly during afternoon and evening hours.

The latest forecast does not suggest that the entire state will experience the same intensity of rainfall. Western Rajasthan is expected to remain comparatively drier, while eastern and northeastern areas have a greater possibility of receiving showers.

Weather conditions may also affect daily commuting in Jaipur. Even light rain can lead to temporary waterlogging on roads and slow-moving traffic in busy areas. Motorists and two-wheeler riders should therefore exercise caution during periods of reduced visibility or wet roads.

The forecast is also important for farmers across the state. Rainfall during the monsoon season can provide useful moisture for agricultural activities, but excessive rain over a short period can create problems in low-lying areas and fields with poor drainage.

The weather department has been closely monitoring the changing monsoon pattern across Rajasthan. Recent reports indicate that the state has experienced fluctuations in rainfall activity, with some districts receiving significant showers while other areas have remained comparatively dry.

For Jaipur and nearby areas, the August 20-23 period could therefore bring a noticeable change from the warmer and relatively dry conditions seen in parts of the week. Residents should keep track of updated local forecasts because rainfall intensity can vary considerably between neighbouring districts.

The expected rain is also likely to bring some relief from heat and humidity in areas that receive showers. However, temperatures may remain around the low-30s Celsius in Jaipur, meaning that the weather may continue to feel humid between periods of rainfall.

The forecast for the coming days should not be interpreted as continuous rainfall across all of Rajasthan. The expected pattern is more likely to involve intermittent showers in selected areas, with eastern Rajasthan having a higher probability of rainfall during the forecast period.

Authorities and residents in districts under weather alerts are advised to remain attentive to fresh updates from the Meteorological Department, particularly if the intensity of rainfall increases or thunderstorms develop.

For Jaipur, the main takeaway is that the monsoon is expected to become more active again from August 20, with the city included among the areas where rain is possible. The broader Jaipur division may experience light to moderate showers through August 23, although the exact timing and intensity of rainfall can change with subsequent forecasts.

The weather outlook also suggests that Rajasthan will continue to experience uneven monsoon conditions. While eastern districts are expected to receive more rainfall, western parts of the state may continue to see comparatively dry conditions.

Residents planning outdoor activities between August 20 and 23 should therefore keep an eye on short-term weather updates. Those travelling during periods of rain should allow additional time for their journey and avoid flooded or poorly drained roads where necessary.

The forecast is subject to change as weather systems evolve. Updated warnings from the India Meteorological Department and local authorities will provide the most reliable information if rainfall intensity increases.

For now, Jaipur and several other districts are likely to experience a return of monsoon showers from August 20, with the Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions remaining among the areas to watch through August 23.
